In qualifying the fastest rider was Austrian Lukas Wimmer. In race 1 the winner of last season #21 Jerry van de Bunt, from The Netherlands, came back after missing the first round in Assen, and managed to win in front of #58 Lukas Wimmer and #2 Josef Frauenschuh (AT). Race 2 saw the battle among 3 riders: van den Bunt, Wimmer and Frauenschuh. They swapped at the front of the race several times. At the finishing line Wimmer was the first in front of van de Bunt and Frauenschuh, who lost contact with the first two riders only in the last two laps of the race.
