The European Supermono Association, promotor of the FIM Europe Cup, and the new IDM Super Mono Cup organizer have joined forces for next year.

As most FIM Europe Supermono Cup races will be scheduled at IDM meetings, two rating classes will be introduced: "Pro Mono" and the "FIM Europe Super Mono Cup". The "Pro Mono" class will be exclusively for "HKR EVO2 motorcycles" where any tuning is forbidden in order to guarantee more equal opportunities (technical regulations will be finalized shortly).The "FIM Europe Super Mono Cup" is the open single-cylinder prototype class with a max. capacity limit of 800cc which already exists since the early 90’swith no tuning restrictions.

For the both "Pro Mono" and FIM Europe Supermono Cup the 2016 season starts with a kick-off weekend at the Northern French circuit of Croix en Ternois on April 16-17th.

April 16-17 Croix Trainings weekend

Round 1 May 6 - 8 Nürburgring IDM + FIM Europe 2 races

Round 2 June 18-19 Zolder* Only FIM Europe 2 races

Round 2 July 8 - 10 Zolder* IDM Only "Pro Mono" 2 races

Round 3 July 29 -31 Schleiz IDM + FIM Europe 2 races

Round 4 August 25 - 28 Oschersleben IDM + FIM Europe 2 races

Round 5 September 23 - 25 Hockenheim IDM + FIM Europe 2 races

All meetings except for Oschersleben are scheduled as double header races on Saturday and Sunday. Except for the Croix and the round 2 event at Zolder there is an option to book free practice sessions.

Due to this cooperation a full and strong starter field is guaranteed.
